Description
The aim of the HANDS-ON project is to give impetus to the implementation of local policies for a clean and just transition by strengthening the capacity of municipal administrations and creating a practical, hands-on learning model that will accelerate and improve the achievement of the set goals.
The work of local authorities is analyzed, and a model is developed to enhance the expertise of municipal employees in three pilot municipalities in Spain, Denmark, and Bulgaria. The impact of the model on energy policy management is assessed, and the model is being rolled out in over 35 municipalities across more than 12 European countries.
The municipality of Vidin is a partner in the project, focusing on improving efforts related to the Cross-Sectoral Energy Plan (through 2030) and the Management Plan (through 2050).
As a subcontractor to SOFENA, ABEA supports the development of materials and the dissemination of information in Bulgaria.
