The CLER organises the second European study tour entitled "On the way to energy plus territories" to the attention of elected persons and staff (directors of services, directors of technical services, energy managers...) from municipalities in countries participating in the RES Champions League (Bulgaria, Czech republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland). It will take place from 11 to 13 October 2010 around the city of Rennes in Brittany region (France). Here is an overview of planned activities:
Objectives The objective of the study tour is to show how a global strategy dealing with energy saving and renewable energy can participate in the reduction of energy bills, create local value and foster economic and social development of the territory. Elected persons and staff from municipalities will be able to exchange on local action plans and good pratices. Practical informations The study tour starts from Rennes train station on monday 11 October at 2 p.m. and ends at the same place on wednesday 13 October at 1 p.m. Persons who are willing to participate in the study tour must plan to travel to and from Rennes by their own means. Thanks to the financial support from the European Commission, the registration fee for foreign participants is very low: * 50 euros / person for a registration made up to Friday 20 August * 100 euros / person for a registration made after Friday 20 August The registration fee includes transport on location, nights and meals. The translation in English and Bulgarian will be ensured. Registration To register, please contact the organization in charge of the RES league in your country (click here). You will then receive instructions to proceed to the payment of the registration fee. Your registration is only validated at the reception of payment of the registration fee. Once registered, the registration fee cannot be claimed back in case of cancellation. The number of participants is limited to 25 people. In case the demand will exceed the offer, the priority for registration will be given to participants from Bulgaria (in the framework of the Bulgaria-France twinning), then from Hungary and Poland (new leagues), then from Czech republic, Germany and Italy.
